Boston Scientific Conquers Inaugural Freewheel Bike Corporate Challenge
Five teams took our 2012 Freewheel Bike Corporate Challenge. The final pitted Medtronic and Boston Scientific in an Italian Pursuit under a full moon. The six-person teams lined up at the pursuit lines and tore off in a paceline at the gun. Boston Scientific's starter, Jennifer Doubet, wasted no time, immediately pulling her team ahead by 10 meters. Each of the remaining five riders took their lap, fiercely pedaling to claim victory, before peeling off for the next leader. The crowd roared as the final lap became a showdown between Thursday Night Lights regulars Andy Frye (Medtronic) and Eric Ware (Boston Scientific). A determined Ware held his team's lead and out-paced Frye to clinch the 2012 Freewheel Bike Corporate Challenge title for Boston Scientific.

Big Night at the Velodrome!
This week we have an exciting showcase that includes the All-City King of Sprints and the Penn Cycle Points Race. These competitions will be decided soon, so every race is critical. Currently, Brandon Krawczyk (Revolution Cycles/Twin Six) leads the field and sits in 1st place overall for both series. But he will need good results to maintain his leading positions. He only has a 1-point lead over Matt Montesano (Speedfix p/b Zubaz) in the Penn Cycle Points Race competition and two points over Dan Currell (Bianchi/Grand Performance) in the All-City King of the Sprints series.
